Welcome to the second post in my Tucson summer series! At first I hesitated to share this cute location because I thought it was too similar to the first one (right here in case ya missed it), but after thinking about it I realized that it’s not like the first one at all!
(I mean I got a coffee at both locations but who am I kidding–coffee is my favorite so I’m always gonna be posting about it.)
Today’s post is about Scented Leaf Tea House & Lounge, one of many new spots in downtown Tucson. It has 16 different types of tea on tap and tons of other flavors in loose leaf form. Basically it’s a tea lover’s dream!
In recent years downtown Tucson, once pretty dead, has gotten quite a makeover. There are so many new restaurants and shops popping up and they are all pretty awesome! (And by “downtown Tucson” I mean a single two-block strip on Congress Street, of course. 😂)
The original Scented Leaf location is on University Blvd. near the Arizona campus, which I’ve always heard good things about. But I was excited to try it when I heard a new one opened up on Congress!
I’ve sampled a couple of the tea flavors, and they were amazing, but let’s face it – I’m more of a coffee person than a tea drinker. But the beauty of Scented Leaf is that they also have cold brew coffee on tap!
If you look closely you can see on the wall in front of me all the teas on tap. I ended up ordering an iced coffee with cream (to be expected), and I must say the cold brew is pretty good!
I love the vibe of this place. It’s modern, bright and cheery with tons of natural light. And although it’s small there are actually a lot of tables and room to spread out. Plus there’s an awesome view of historic Hotel Congress right across the street.
There is even patio seating right out front, perfect for cooler weather (as in not summer)!
I have a feeling I’ll be here a lot more to meet up with friends in the future. Next time I’ll have to try a new tea flavor!
And that’s Scented Leaf for ya! Here’s the link to their website if you want to learn more. What do you prefer — coffee or tea? Leave a comment and let me know!
